A Tribute, Well Deserved

This day we’re doing something that we really should do more.
We’re honoring our Pastor. There’s no need to say what for.
If he’s touched you like he’s touched me, you know how I am feeling.
I think we all agree on this. Our Pastor is appealing.
As leader of this awesome church, it’s you we are commending.
For all the ethnic races, you have stirred, who are attending.
For all the lives you bring to Christ and introduce him to.
For doing it consistently the way you always do.
You preach the truth so bold and true, dependably each week.
You introduce God’s spirit with each syllable you speak.
You’ve taken God’s anointing, made it known and obvious.
That it has taken hold of you and spreading into us.
You’re not afraid to tell it, friend, the way it truly is.
It’s obvious that Christ is yours, and you are surely his.
Describing how you’ve touched me; I don’t know where I should start.
My life has changed so much, for Christ. You’ve put him in my heart.
Your teaching gets me fired up like none I’ve ever heard.
You back your thoughts with scripture. There is power in your word.
You leave no room to think—to doubt, the messages you share.
You bring the Holy Spirit, every week! I feel him there!
You touch so many, many lives; in ways you do not know.
It’s Christ, and your allowing him, that’s making this church grow.
You’re hot my friend! On fire! Still there’s something I would bet.
You’re only warming up right now. We ain’t seen nothing yet!
Your vision is apparent where you are and where you’re going.
This church is just amazing in the way that it is growing.
So many things are happening and much because of you.
We’d like to give this credit where it is this credit’s due.
One church with two locations. Not just any man could do it.
Yet we know one who does it well. We honor Pastor Pruitt!
Keep doing what you’re doing; we’re behind you all the way.
In closing, won’t you join me? For our Pastor, let us pray.
Thank you Lord for sending us, this man you’ve truly blessed.
Let him feel our love for him. Our gratitude expressed.
Continue, Lord, to lead him so that he might lead us too.
Bring forth our Pastors vision. Help us Lord to see it thru.
Touch his heart this moment! Make him totally aware.
He has a congregation that will hold him up in prayer.
Lift him up this moment. Let him know how high you rate him.
And make it clear, how much we love him, and appreciate him.
