Mrs. Adler, thanks so much,
for always being nice.
You made first grade
a lot of fun for us.
We liked it so darn much
we’d like to go thru first grade twice.
To relive all those nice things
You had done for us.

You did such a good job teaching us,
to write, do math, and read.
And you did it with
such absolute concern.
Each and every single one of us,
you helped us to succeed.
With the things you took the time
to help us learn.

We will miss you, thru the summer.
We will miss you, one and all.
But the time has come
for us to forge ahead.
Hope you have a super summer.
We will see you in the fall.
Maybe, next year,
you’ll teach second grade instead.
