Boy, Did We Find a Church
Our Discovery of Faith Builders International in Beloit, Wisconsin
We decided to visit last Sunday.
We came as the guest of a friend.
I said I would join this Church one day.
So, with eagerness, we did attend.
Something in my old Church was lacking.
So that Sunday I started my search.
The Devil’s been, lately, attacking.
I needed a powerful church.
I walked in the door and it hit me.
The spirit of God, without doubt.
The smiles and warmth, how they fit me.
I was blessed and I wanted to shout.
I took my young girl to be tended.
The praise was contagious. Pure joy!
In just a short minute, she blended.
The same is the truth for my boy.
God’s spirit, so loudly, was ringing.
In knew that my kids were in good hands.
I followed the sound of the singing.
As the choir praised the Lord, with the band.
The surge of God’s spirit went thru me.
I thought a few times I might cry.
There was something strange hap’ning to me.
My eyes, I could not keep them dry.
God’s spirit was present, so clearly.
It put me, almost, in a trance.
The people there treated me kindly.
I joined them in song and in dance.
The sermon was one of conviction.
It showed me the places I lacked.
I pondered my giving restriction.
I knew it was time to react.
The problems I woke to that morning.
Seemed, instantly, almost resolved.
I went to receive Christ’s adorning.
To see how I could get involved.
I picked my kids up after service.
Where I was quite happy to learn.
Before they had went they were nervous.
They, now, couldn’t wait to return.
We talked and we quickly concluded.
I’m happy to say in this poem.
Faith Builders is where we have chosen,
to make our new spiritual home.
