You’re Truly My Very Best Friend
Joe Ramirez
You never once stabbed me,
behind, in my back.
Instead you have grabbed me,
in places I lack.
You’re just like a brother,
the one I’ve not had.
At times like a mother.
More often a dad.
Your laughter ignites mine,
it’s there to depend on.
You don’t bitch! You don’t wine!
Good vibes you descend on.
You fully support me,
in most that I do.
You never deport me,
with all we’ve been thru.
You offer me courage.
Vision and hope.
Never discourage.
Help me to cope.
Friends like you Chili,
are few, in between.
A sensitive silly,
from Pasardeen.
A poem you’ve inspired.
This one is yours.
My spirit’s been fired.
You’ve opened my doors.
The thing that I guess,
I am trying to say.
With all of this stress,
that I currently pay.
It thanks, Joe, for being
the friend that you are.
For both of us seeing,
the same distant star.
