A Christian Man’s Perspective
Regina Ramirez (Comforting words for her son Joe)
This situation’s tough to face.
I’m sorry for your loss.
Your mom’s now in a better place.
Her time had come to cross.
The road she crossed has brighter days,
that never, ever end.
She’s free of this world’s evil ways.
She’s better off my friend.
It’s hard for us, who stay behind.
To think that they are gone.
She lives, still, in you heart and mind.
She’ll wake with you each dawn.
Although her flesh is laid to rest.
Her spirit soars on high.
She’s truly one of God’s most blessed.
How peaceful she did die.
Yet only of the flesh she died.
But also, she was born.
With angels standing by her side
as Gabriel blows his horn.
In Heaven as they celebrate,
your mom is prob’ly mourning.
Sad for us who have to wait,
to share in Christ’s adorning.
She’s watching from above, right now.
She’ll watch until that day.
You come to reunite with her.
Eternally to stay.
I’m sure as she looks down on you.
With cheer and heart aglow.
Knowing once her time was done,
she’d done her job with Joe.
