Good-bye, Old Man

Dave Lawrence (my Grampa)

Good-bye old man! Your time has come.
We’re grieving you today.
Just as your life was given you.
It’s now been took away.

I know that you’re, now, happier,
and better off above.
Surrounded by serenity,
and everlasting love.

Good-bye old man! It seems so strange,
to see you, nevermore.
You taught me, all so many things.
You opened many door.

So many things about myself,
I look at me, and see.
And so I cannot help but feel,
your spirit lives in me.

You taught me how to rhyme my words.
To keep my fist up, high.
You taught me how to make things grow.
You made me laugh and cry.

And so I’d like to thank you,
as sincerely as I can.
Thank you Grampa! Good-bye Grampa!
Rest in peace Old Man!
