Samantha Runion (the little girl who was abducted, raped & murdered in 2002)
Our nation’s hearts are breaking, with Samantha’s dreadful news.
With wants to catch the killer, and to see he pays his dues.
Our prayers are with the family of that precious little one.
We can’t believe this evil act, this evil man has done.
Our prayers are with her parents. We are sharing in their grief.
We pray that God will send to them, a moment of relief.
We pray they find the killer and that justice finds its way.
This act is so atrocious. This sick person has to pay.
We know God has Samantha, cradled tightly in his arms,
Knowing she has suffered one of earth’s most sickening harms.
Snatched up in front of where she lived, while innocently playing.
Samantha you have touched our hearts. For you, we all are praying.
We’re praying for your parents and for all your special friends.
We’re praying for some justice. That this manhunt quickly ends.
We take our kids for granted. You have made us more aware.
For you and those who fell like you, we’ll keep you in our prayer.
Your little life was taken well before it had begun.
Your suffering was not in vain. Before this all is done,
I’ll bet some kids will benefit, their parents being affected.
They might start paying attention to the kids they have neglected.
